About Us

We are 3rd and 4th generation Sleemans, Tony, Jenni, Traci and Logan. Working together alongside Bill and Judi helping our customers and community express themselves through the beauty of flowers.

Sleemans Greenhouse was rooted in 1952 by Percy and Leona Sleeman. Following Percy’s untimely death in 1968, Bill and his new wife Judi accepted the opportunity to continue the family business. Learning everything they could from Leona over the years. Bill and Judi enjoyed working in the greenhouse, and in 1986 their hard worked brought them from Ripley to M-26 in Houghton. Where they opened Flowers by Sleeman. The area’s largest greenhouse and flower shop, offering daily floral delivery to the Michigan Tech campus.

Flowers by Sleeman has greenhouses full of beautiful annuals, perennials, trees and shrubs. Full service with experience here to help you execute your gardening dreams. All annuals are grown in our greenhouses. The varieties are carefully selected as they are known to flourish in our Copper Country climate. We begin planting in January and are ready to wow you in May.

The flower shop provides cut flowers in a variety of colors, sizes and styles. Let one our expert floral designers create your arrangement or take them home to create your own masterpiece. We also have green plants, Saykllys chocolates and gifts. Daily deliveries available in Houghton, Hancock and Copper Country area.

Flowers by Sleeman is your one stop shop for wedding and prom flowers plus tuxedo rentals. We invite you in to consult with one of our designers to discuss the vision for your special day.

In addition, we seasonally offer Christmas trees, wreaths, and garland (which can be cut to any length).
